Full time position available for Direct Support Professional in New Opportunities Developmental Training Program.  DSP certification from IL required.  Hours are M - F 8 am to 4 pm, with once monthly meetings that may last slightly longer.  Ability to drive clients in agency vehicles and approval through company insurance required, as well as clear background check and drug screen.  Must be comfortable helping individuals with personal care as needed.  Please respond by sending your resume to info@newopportunities.us.  You will be contacted for a telephone interview, followed by an in person meeting.  Opening is immediate.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified, caring individual to join our dedicated team at New Opportunities working with adults with developmental disabilities. The QIDP is responsible for the overall service provision to persons served in the DT program. This includes providing assessments and input into annual plans for assigned Participants, implementation of the Person Centered Plan, overseeing the admissions process, participating in the development of behavior support plans, assisting families with referrals for outside needed services, and the coordination of the discharge process.  In addition, training and supervision of our fine team of Direct Support Professionals is required.

Qualifications:

Must have Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in a Social Service discipline.
Minimum of 1 year working with the ID population is required
Supervisory experience is preferred.
QIDP certification preferred, or have ability to complete Illinois QIDP certification.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to be insured under New Opportunities’ vehicle insurance.
Ability to pass all Background checks including a drug screen.
